Th: Puzzle Activity-Discover the nature of science through a simulation using puzzle pieces. Students should have a data table and 5 questions in their notebook from this activity.

Monday 1/28-Thursday 1/31
M: Assemble portfolios for Student-led conferences. Talk about the fungus kingdom.
Major points: Fungus does not have chlorophyll and is not a plant. Most mushrooms are not edible. The Minnesota state mushroom is the Morel. "Good" fungus includes yeast, antibiotics and chees. "Bad" fungus includes human disease and food contamination.
T: Protist lab in class. We will look at a mix of protist and discover characteristics that all protists share as well as characteristics that make them different.
W: Microbe bookwork including questions from textbook and vocabulary words.
Th: Louis Pasteur video that outlines the work of this famous microbiologist. Students will do a reflection in their notebook giving a summary of Louis Pasteur's work and a picture from the video.
