Students are engaged in a reader's and writer's
workshops.  Mondays through Wednesdays,
students participate in reader's workshop. 
During these days, students will read, and
write in their reader's notebooks, conference
with me, take part in mini-lessons, class
discussions, and/or participate in small group/
individual instruction.  On Thursdays and Fridays,
we follow a similar format, but with a writing focus.

                              *Please Note*
        I will be sending home Scholastic book club
orders beginning this week.  In this day and age
of technology, teachers know that the best way
for students to become better readers is to practice
Here's a way to provide your child with all kinds of
books if you so desire.  You may send an order with
your child to school (with check enclosed), or you
may order directly using the Internet.  Details are
included in the order forms.
