Social Studies 6A

Welcome!  The ILA plans are listed first, followed by Social Studies plans.

Please note:  These are "tentative" lesson plans because actual lessons may move faster or slower than planned.    All assignments are due the next day unless otherwise noted.  Check your child's agenda for daily assignments.  

If you are sick--get well and we will figure out your make-up work when you return!

ILA Lesson Plans:  Writers!  Consider attending the Young Authors Conference!  Permission and money are due by Dec. 1.

MONDAY:  Nov. 23  Good Citizens Pizza Lunch Celebration
    1.  Bell work #9 and correct.
    2.  Silent read own book/library book and journal.
    3.  Verbs--tense:  past, present, future.
    4.  Review vocabulary #1-4 and take test on words.
    5.  Spelling #9:  homophones--check and turn in.
    6.  HUM notes and practice.
    7.  Study Island. 
HOMEWORK:  Any work not completed in class.  Read for 30 minutes each day at home. 
 
TUESDAY:  Nov. 24  Walking Field Trip to theater
    1.  Bell work and correct. 
    2.  Read and journal.
    3.  Verbs:  action and being
    4.  HUM practice.
    5.  Spelling #10:  Words with confusing spellings
HOMEWORK:  Any work not completed in class.   Read for 30 minutes each day at home. 

WEDNESDAY:  Nov. 25  No school
   
THURSDAY:   Nov. 26  No school-- Happy Thanksgiving!

FRIDAY:  Nov. 27  No school
 
SOCIAL STUDIES PLANS:
