**Important!** Many students have missing work. Please turn this in AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Here is the policy regarding late work: -Late assignments will be automatically reduced one full letter grade. -Assignments more than one week late will receive half credit. Ms. Bray is always available to stay after school any day except Wednesday to help students. :)
This week (November 16th-20th), we will be beginning our unit on Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Please remember to bring your packet everyday and please be responsible with it. If you lose it, you will be serving a detention with Mrs. Badger. Don't let this be you! Please be responsible and keep your packet in your ILA folder.

**Assignments due this week:** - If you were assigned a vocab word from Of Mice and Men, please have this ready to present on Thursday (Nov. 19th). Fill out the definition, synonyms, prefixes/suffixes.
HOUR 7: Journals are due on Tuesday, November 24th. You need to turn in Journals #5-9. Journals will begin on 9/22. The list of prompts and due dates will be in the column to the right. Journals are turned in on a rotating basis, so even though your journal might not be due, you will still need to respond to the prompt and keep it in your JOURNAL ONLY notebook.

Memorization/Presentations! We started that today and many of you were not prepared with your memorization! :( Be ready on Tuesday!!! Other group project presentations are due as well.
I will be gone on Wednesday so you'll be working on your SAT words. Any presentations not finished (grrrrr--hopefully, none) will be on Thursday when I return. Thursday and Friday you will be writing a critical review of "Othello." Memorization: 8-11 lines--C 12-14 lines--B 15 + lines--A
It must be a complete monologue and cannot be broken up by another character's words.
Side-by-Side Translation Keep up on your Synopsis sheet and write in your copy of the play, especially where you have questions. This is due on Friday, November 13.SAT Vocabulary words--keep up on these! Do a couple of them a day and you'll be in good shape. Here's the target dates for completing each list: List 1--Sept. 25; List 2--Oct 19; List 3--Oct 30; List 4--Nov. 20. THE TEST WILL BE NOVEMBER 30! We will review each list on the target date or near that date.
