For
missing a PE class due to absence, a student may earn participation points for that
class or classes by doing 45 minutes of continuous exercising (for each day
missed). This is to do be done outside
of class time. Have a parent/guardian
sign the sheet justifying the time spent involved in
physical activity. Whenever possible,
do the same activity we are doing in class.
If that is not possible, substitute an alternative activity.
If a student is unable to participate in
physical education class for longer than one day, a Dr’s excuse is
required. A copy will be kept on file
in the nurse’s office. For special
circumstances, example: broken leg, speak
to your teacher.
Participation
points for the days missed in class are to be made up within 5 school
days. If made up after the 5 day
period, half credit only will be given. Special circumstances or problems, talk with your teacher.
